This place really came through in a clutch. After some contract issues with another restaurant, we needed food for 60 in about an hour. They exceeded or expectation. They were friendly and very accommodating. The guests loved the pulled pork, baked beans, and slaw. Many came back for seconds. I treated the slaw. It was vinegar based. It was good - sweet and tangy. I also had some delicious onion rings I was very impressed by the customer service we received. They definitely have a new customer.

We tried the Bbq Pork, Smoked Turkey sandwich with fried okra and slaw. Everything was great and a good price! Still trying to get up in time for the Breakfast.

I know that typically a BBQ joint would not be the place to go for a hamburger, but this place features one of my favorites!! It's not on the menu so beware, but if you ask for the Shug burger you won't be disappointed. The place has a great feel, family atmosphere. The furniture and scenery is dated but not the burger. I plan to get in soon to try their breakfast because I hear it's good as well. Parking was plentiful, as they have their own lot.

The sign on the marquee says, "Best Breakfast". With such a bold statement, I just had to check this place out. So, I met a friend for a pre-work breakfast. Upon arriving, the first thing that hits you is the smell of bacon...and who doesn't like the smell of bacon? Walking in, you will notice an ample amount of seating. There will more than likely never be a completely full house where you will be waiting long for a table...morning, noon, or night. The tables were clean, but a bit outdated. It's perfectly fine for the type and location of this place. When I woke up this morning, the thought of pancakes was on my mind. So, looking at the menu, I discovered that option was available. So, that's what I ordered. My breakfast companion ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich...on a bun. My second cup of coffee was almost empty when my two pancakes, the size of a large plate, was placed in front of me. Butter was spread, syrup was poured and these flapjacks were attacked. They were very good...but they didn't stand out from other pancake places. I guess you don't really go to a BBQ joint for their pancakes. I was completely stuffed at the end. My friend liked his sandwich, too. For the price, it is a good option. You may want to get some hash browns to add to your prefer, though. The staff was very pleasant, especially for 6:00 AM. The price was fair for what we got. We left satisfied and paid about 10 bucks for both meals and coffee. The one problem: remember what I said at the beginning, "Upon entering, I noticed the smell of bacon"? Well...that smell stuck to me like 'white-on-rice'. I smelled like bacon all day. In fact, the neighborhood dogs greeted me when I got home. Not really, but the smell definitely stayed with me. Great spot for breakfast. Maybe one day, I'll go for dinner. I'll update my review after that. Until then, check out my other reviews.
